Singh, one of the founder of BYC Pickleball & More, used to be overweight. He had early signs of diabetes. He changed his life through movement and discipline. He beat obesity and regained his health.
Today, his mother and brother manage diabetes. BYC is his way to help them and the community. We are a living laboratory in Chiang Mai, Thailand. We find the best ways to make health a daily habit.

We bring health to the whole community. In 2025, we worked with Stefano Mocciola. We introduced pickleball to over 500 Thai and international students. This project proved that sports in schools build strong social connections. We do more than teach the rules. We use the game to build leadership and confidence in women and girls. This ensures that no one is left behind.

The American Diabetes Association recommends 150 minutes of exercise each week. This amount improves your blood sugar, weight, and heart health. You can beat this goal by visiting BYC only twice a week. Our 90-minute training sessions give you 180 minutes of total movement. This simple routine protects your body and fits your busy schedule.

Ajarn Mod studies how your body carries weight to build your plan. She applies the principles from the book Escape Your Shape by Edward Jackowski, Ph.D. This is vital for managing diabetes because your body shape affects your insulin levels. You receive a personalized program that helps your body use sugar for energy.
Reducing Stomach Fat: Weight in your midsection increases insulin resistance. Ajarn Mod uses high-energy drills to help you burn this fat.
Building Muscle: Lean muscle uses sugar for energy. These drills help you build the muscle you need.

We use fast movements to improve your health. These drills help your body use insulin better.
Side-to-Side Shuffle: Stand at the net. Move quickly from left to right for 30 seconds. Rest for 30 seconds. Repeat 5 times.
The Hit and Run: Hit a soft shot. Run to the back of the court. Run back to the net. Do this for 1 minute.
Corner Touch: Place cones in the four corners. Run and touch each cone as fast as you can.
Ball Machine Practice
Use our ball machine to hit many shots in a row. This keeps your heart rate in the "Vitality Zone." This zone is between 60% and 75% of your maximum heart rate.
Playing with the Community
Join our graded open play. You will play with people at your level.
