We change how community health is built in Chiang Mai. We use movement, connection, and access.
On April 15, 2022, BYC Pickleball & More began with a clear goal. We implemented better health across the entire community. We avoid complex systems and expensive memberships. We use simple, consistent, and human movement. Four years later, we are a proven and repeatable model for community health.
Public health improves when people have a place to belong. It improves when you have a space to move and return to consistently. We identified a gap in Chiang Mai. People wanted to be healthier but lacked accessible, low-impact activities. We built that space in Doi Saket.
We introduced pickleball as our foundation. This sport serves all ages and fitness levels. It is a starting point for people who have avoided exercise for years. This includes individuals managing weight, inactivity, or health risks like type 2 diabetes. We discovered a simple truth: when movement is social, people stay active. When people stay active, health improves.
As our community grew, our responsibility increased. In 2025, we expanded beyond pickleball. We added badminton, table tennis, and group activities. This environment reflects real community needs. This shift allowed us to reach more local Thai families. We continue to serve expats and visiting players.
We strengthened our system by acquiring the Standout Pickleball Thailand brand. We are now a national distributor of high-quality equipment. This ensures that every player has access to safe and reliable gear. You can find our equipment in Chiang Mai, Bangkok, and beyond. BYC is a growing platform for active living in Thailand. It is more than a venue.
Our work delivers data and transformation. In 2025, we partnered with Stefano Mocciola. We introduced pickleball to over 500 Thai and international students. Research suggests that sports in schools build strong social connections. These connections support mental and physical well-being.
We do more than teach rules. We use sport to achieve specific goals:
Build leadership and confidence in women and girls.
Create environments where all fitness levels feel welcome.
Support long-term behavioral change through enjoyable activity.
We ensure that no one is left behind.
Local Action and Global Relevance
BYC operates as a local facilitator. We translate global health goals into daily action. We collaborate with leading schools and universities:
Chiang Mai University
Thammasat University
Mahidol University International College
In 2026, we are expanding our focus. We are moving into Chiang Rai, Lampang, Phuket, Chonburi, and Bangkok. Our current priorities include:
Diabetes prevention through accessible sport.
Youth well-being and school-based programs.
Active aging initiatives for individuals aged 60 and above.
Our model combines physical activity, social engagement, and health education. These outcomes are effective and easy to repeat in new locations.
We are building a healthier future for Chiang Mai and beyond. We do more than build a sports facility. We invite you to be part of this movement. You may be a family seeking a healthy lifestyle, a visitor, or an organization looking for a trusted partner.
