Starting something new can feel overwhelming—but that’s completely normal. Many people feel this way at first.
That’s why BYC Pickleball & More, together with Standout Pickleball Thailand, has designed a simple step-by-step program to help you get from your couch to the pickleball court in just 9 weeks.
Pickleball is easy to learn, gentle on the body, and full of energy when shared with our welcoming community. If you’ve been wanting to try something new but didn’t know how to begin, this challenge is for you. Step by step, we’ll guide you to play with confidence—and have fun doing it.
What is From Couch to Court?
From Couch to Court is a 9-week program created by BYC Pickleball & More in collaboration with Standout Pickleball Thailand. It’s designed for anyone who wants to discover pickleball in a simple, structured, and welcoming way. Step by step, you’ll go from complete beginner to confidently playing games on court.
How does the 9-week program work?
Each week introduces new skills, rules, and confidence-building activities. Just like fitness challenges, the sessions are progressive—starting light and getting you more active as you go. By the end of the 9 weeks, you’ll be playing real games with others and enjoying the sport.
Who can join?
Anyone! Pickleball is for all ages and fitness levels. You don’t need prior experience or athletic background. Whether you want gentle movement, social connection, or a new hobby, this program is built to help you get started with no pressure.

How do I get started?
The pilot program will launch first in Chiang Mai, where it’s being incubated with the BYC Pickleball & More community. This is where participants will get the very first chance to try the 9-week From Couch to Court journey.
As the program grows in popularity, it will be introduced to other cities across Thailand—including Bangkok, Pattaya, Hua Hin, Phuket, and more— making it easier for more people to discover pickleball step by step.
All you need to join is comfortable clothing and a willingness to try. We’ll initially loan you the paddles, balls, and guidance—you bring yourself.
