I.Event Overview:

9. • Event Title: “BYC Pickleball Club Chiang Mai x Happy Pickleball Club Hua Hin DUPR Flex League (Season 2) - The Legends”

   • Dates: May 5 -July 7, 2025 (8 weeks+)

II. Tournament Events & Categories:

9. • Category 1:  Combined age 100+ / Skill level 3.5

     • Men's Doubles

     • Women's Doubles

     • Mixed Doubles

   • Category 2: combined age 100+ / Skill level 4.0

     • Men's Doubles

     • Women's Doubles

     • Mixed Doubles

   • Category 3: combined age 130+ / Skill level 3.5

     • Men's Doubles

     • Women's Doubles

     • Mixed Doubles

   • Category 4: combined age 130+ / Skill level 4.0

     • Men's Doubles

     • Women's Doubles

     • Mixed Doubles

   • Format: The DUPR Flex League format allows flexible scheduling and convenient match reporting, making it easier for newcomers to participate. 

   • Match Play: One match consists of 2-3 games, each worth one point. The winners win 2 out of 3 games. The third game is not needed if the winners win 2-0. The teams may win 0, 1, or 2 games for each match.

   • Skill Level Verification: The DUPR rating is important to maintain fair play. A rating session will be conducted before the tournament to verify skill levels. Players are urged to compete at their appropriate skill level or higher.

III. Overall Structure:

9. • Participants are placed in a round-robin group and ideally play 4-7 matches over 8 weeks. Each team plays the others once. The maximum number of teams in each event =8 teams

   • Number of teams per league (location).

• If there are only 2 teams in each league, we will do individual Round Robin (Ladder system) where every player gets to play with everyone and against everyone. In this case, each player will play a total of 3 games. There will be NO medal matches. However, the scores will be collected and recorded on DUPR. Then the players' rankings will be posted at the clubs to show the development of the players' skills. These rankings can be used for a challenge within each club and between the clubs when the away team visits the home team for a fun, friendly and competitive game.

• With 3 teams, the league director can decide for the players to do individual Round Robin (Ladder system) which means each player will play a total of 5 games then the 4 top players will compete at the medal matches on July 12-13 at BYC, Chiang Mai OR they can be automatically deemed to compete on the Round Robin and medal matches on July 12-13 at BYC, Chiang Mai.

• With 4 teams and more, players will do team Round Robin where every team gets to play against the other teams. In this case, each team will play a total of 3++ games. And they will play the medal matches on July 12-13 at BYC, Chiang Mai.

***Remarks: Those who cannot make it at the medal matches will automatically forfeit their matches.                                                                              

9. • Leagues/groups will be determined based on participant location and DUPR.

   • The prize money (600 baht) will be given to the winners of a division with at least 6 teams.

IV. Registration and Team Formation:

9. • Registration Process

   • How to Register: The entry fee is 250 baht per person/division. All players will get a special, custom-made souvenir worth 199 baht. Please register via LINE or WhatsApp at 096-906-1725

     •  Registration Dates: Now - April 4, 2025 for 250 baht

                                           April 5- May 4 for 350 baht

9. • • Match Dates: May 5 - July 7, 2025 (can schedule at different venues) 

     • Medal Matches: July 12-13, 2025 at BYC Indoor Pickleball Court, Chiang Mai

   • DUPR Rating Verification:

     • To ensure fair play, all players are required to have accurate DUPR ratings. Rating sessions can be provided, if necessary. Players are encouraged to play up eg. a 3.8 player should play 4.0 NOT 3.5 divisions.

   • Team Formation:

     • Players form a team by themselves and compete based on the combined age and skill level.

   • Payment:

     • We kindly request that payment be made via bank transfer to the following account:

V. Scheduling and Communication:

9. •  Player Contact List: Kindly provide email addresses, phone numbers to all group members.

   • Scheduling Responsibility: Players will contact their opponents and schedule their matches within the designated timeframe.

   • Communication Platform: We will use online platforms (Line groups/ Whatsapp and Google Sheet) to facilitate scheduling and keep track of matches played and scores.

   • Dispute Resolution:

     • Any disputes related to scheduling or match results will be resolved under the supervision of the BYC and Happy Pickleball Club committees. The committees will ensure that all concerns are addressed fairly and efficiently, facilitating a positive resolution for all involved parties.

VI. Match Reporting and Results:

9. • Reporting Method: Post the score publicly in the Facebook group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/chiangmaipickleballchat

   • Deadline for Reporting: Determine a deadline for reporting match results after each match is played (ideally within 24 hours).

   • Results Tracking:  Maintain and regularly update a record of match results and standings.

   • Consequences for Late Reporting:  To ensure fairness and accurate record-keeping, all match results must be reported by the winning team within 48 hours of the match's completion. Failure to comply with this reporting period will result in the match being forfeited. Reports submitted after the 48-hour grace period will not be accepted, and the team responsible for the late submission will incur the penalty of a forfeit, negatively affecting their standings and performance records.

VII. Handling Rescheduling and No-Shows:

9. • Rescheduling: Players are encouraged to communicate promptly regarding the need to reschedule matches, if necessary, within 24 hours prior to the match.

   • No-Shows: A formal policy for managing no-shows will be communicated and posted on the tournament website (bycpickleball.com), including provisions namely automatic defaults thus no points for that match.

9. • Additional Information

     • Participants can arrange their weekly league matches at a time and on a court that is convenient for both teams.

     • Matches can be played anytime during the period from May 5 to July 7, 2025. All matches may be played within the first week, if desired.

     • Matches are gendered, mixed or male/female doubles with brackets determined by DUPR.
